the home of the late Gustaf Fröding (a Swedish poet).
In late July an ”olden times” festival called Gammelvâla is held
on the promontory Skutboudden near Brunskog .
There you can experience demonstrations of
traditional handicrafts in an old world
environment.

Up north you find the beautiful
nature preserve Kalvhöjden in Gräsmark.
A well preserved meadow with pruned trees and a marvelous view.
This meadow was one of the reasons for BrittMarie’s desire
to live in Värmland, some 16 years ago!
